The Quilt of Dreams was a digital art project I undertook in early 2012 visually documenting elements from several dreams I experienced before and during the project. The series consisted of twenty-two 27 x 33″ poser-sized digital artworks incorporating aspects of each individual dream done in an abstract style meant to simulate my experience with audio-visual synesthesia. Two additional larger 33 x 55″ tower-sized pieces were designed to bookend the collection.
Intended Display Layout: Each piece printed in metallic. Arranged to create a 3 x 8 square ceiling-mounted quilt, with the pieces spaced 5-inches apart evenly for a total display size of 91 x 299″. The towers located at the top-left and bottom-right of the quilt were intended to be positioned extended 15-inches outward from the display base and extended to project one foot away from the display base with their respective outermost edges position to align with the vertical and horizontal planes of their sister pieces. Outward facing color-shifting LEDs were intended to be tucked behind the protruding tower pieces so that the horizontal illumination would create a shifting multiplex effect on the other pieces. Intended ceiling elevation was a minimum of 12′ high.
