I enjoy spending my time around things that bring me joy, often with an emotional link to some aspect of my past that tugs at nostalgia and prompts inspiration. They way I typically do this in real life is to create themed displays. I have been a nostalgic/historic collector for most of my life, and being an eclectic geek, that means I have a pretty wild array of small collections. What I call micro-collections.
Each display is a sort of artistic expression pulling from the aesthetics of each theme. Almost like small museums, they present one of my many interests as sort of visual exhibit. I really do enjoy making them. Some are self-contained and framed, others mounted to walls, or set upon tabletops. It’s just sort of the chaotic nostalgia aesthetic that often cheers me up.
This section of the website is just a place for me to share photos of just a few of those displays. A means to to archive them for prosperity, to share the inspired moments each one represents.
