Welcome to my dedicated space of weird ideas and entertaining endeavors. Mind your step, random ideas are just kind of scattered about.
Sometimes it feels like my brain never rests, and in those curious moments I typically have two or three personal creative projects in the works. This page is dedicated to those projects both past and present.
Current & Recent Personal Projects

Descent into Wyrmdeep (BBS Door-style Game)
Descent into Wyrmdeep is an oldschool BBS door game style text-based fantasy adventure game. I created it on a whim with the launch of the new Paths to Adventure website. You can play it right now!

Retro-Pixel FPRPG Card Game
8-Bit Dungeon
8-Bit Dungeon is my love-letter to the old first-person fantasy roleplaying video games of the late 1980s and early 1990s. Designed to be reminiscent of those old retro games, the aesthetic reflects the pixel graphics of the genre. Get your copy of this card game!

Retro-style JRPG Video Game Project
My Video Game Music
One of my long-term “back burner” personal projects is to make a video game (in the vein of NES/SNES JRPGs of the 80s and early 90s). This is the soundtrack for that project and info about how I created the songs.

Video Game History
Solstice Museum
This personal project is a video game history preservation effort with intent of discovering, documenting, and preserving the history of the 1990 Nintendo (NES) video game Solstice: The Staff of Demnos (Developed by Software Creations and published by CSG Imagesoft/Sony Group).
Past Personal Projects Worth Mentioning

AetherCon Online Gaming Convention
An online free to attend non-profit convention that took place annually between 2012-2019. Sponsored entirely by game publishers and manufacturers, the event was one of the largest and earliest of its type. For AetherCons I – VII, I was on the senior management staff, planning committee, and developed the web platform the event ran on.

Mythic Party (Gen Con After Hours)
An epic annual Gen Con charity event that took place 2008-2012. Included auctions, appearances by industry luminaries, prizes and swag, catered food, and a night of fun and games. Branded after “Mythic Design”, my personal game design imprint at the time, and planned in tandem with AvatarArt, where I was also senior management.

Gaming Widgets for iGoogle
Before the iGoogle platform was discontinued, I developed a collection of TTRPG-centric gadgets and widgets for Google Labs including map generators, random table results, dice roller with “hidden” rolls option, and a full interface with the Obsidian Portal campaign web service.

Xcord Internet Radio
No longer live. From 2005-2008 I developed a streaming platform and managed an indie rock web-based radio station. It was the heyday of Myspace bands, and the library was licensed from upcoming musicians that fit the genre. At the time the tech didn’t exist, so I just made my own. Take a listen to the last metadata stream ever broadcast.
Before Going Full-Time in the Game Industry

The web development firm I owned and operated for almost seven years. Located in Hopkinsville Kentucky, the firm served the greater tri-state region. It was founded in 2010 when the firm where was lead web developer decided to transition their business model to focus on government IT harware and networking contracts.
